Description
In this stitched prayer for rain and gentle care during the high heat of summer, a loving red rose rises up from a colorful water-bearing vase. A guiding hand represents our commitment to nurturing our growing gardens, no matter how busy we may get.

These patterns are meant to be “choose your own adventure” style: You can simply transfer one onto your fabric as is, or you can mix and match elements to create your very own design.
The larger motifs at the top, bottom, and sides are designed to be easily switched out while the growing stems in the middle remain consistent. For example, let’s say you love the Vessel design, but you don’t like hands. You might replace the hand with a bird to symbolize returning, or you might decide to highlight a jeweled snake as a valuable member of the garden community.
The smaller flowers near the center are simple forms meant to represent a broad variety of plants, just by changing up the colors. Choose the colors of these flowers according to what you’d love to see blooming in your own yard.
You can use a computer program to flip the designs if you like, or if you’re using the “lightbox transfer” technique with printed paper, you can simply flip the paper over (you’ll still be able to see the design through the back side). If you’d prefer not to trace, this pattern is optionally available with a printed stick-and-stitch design on dissolvable stabilizer that you can place on top of any fabric you choose.
