Description

Sew your own iron-on patches with embroidery floss and felt! In this 2-hour workshop, you will collage with fabric and learn a few simple embroidery stitches to create your very own iron-on patch (back stitch, satin stitch, & blanket stitch). Students are welcome to work from provided templates or create their own completely unique designs.

About your instructor:

Lucy Wanchun Leith is an artist and designer specializing in low-waste design at Production Mode in Chicago, IL. She designs and provides mending services, workshops, and instructional zines under the name LucyDreamsOf. When she’s not drafting garments and darning beloved, worn-out clothes, Lucy is drawing, making comics & zines, and leading climbing meetups with Sending In Color.
