Description

Ajisai-sashi is one of the hitomezashi patterns which requires the unique technique called “Kuguri-sashi.” “Kuguri” or “kuguru” in Japanese means to go under something. So you can say that “kuguri-sashi” is a technique of weaving applied under the stitches.

This pattern is the most popular pattern in my hands-on workshop in Kyoto, Japan. It may look intricate at first but I can assure you that YOU can make this beautiful pattern by following the step-by-step instructions!

Please note this is a video course and not an online workshop. The PDF file includes 6 pages, and each process has a video link! There are 10 videos in total. You can jump to each video either by clicking the link in the file or reading the QR code with your mobile device. You can also learn some secret tips to stitch on the doubled fabric!

This bundle makes a single 34 cm/13.4 in hana-fukin (flower cloth). Click here for the coasters bundle instead.
