  • Downloadable pattern suite including patterns formatted for screens and print, a beginning cross-stitch guide, and a guide to finishing the design as a challah cover
  • Precut Zweigart aida or linen fabric in ivory, white, navy, Blue Spruce (grey-blue) or marine/royal blue (see image for colors—not all fabric counts come in all colors)
  • Size 26 tapestry needle
  • 3 skeins of DMC floss in blue, dark gray, gold, or ecru
  • Optional: Kona quilting cotton backing fabric (24 x 20 in. or 21 x 18 in.)
  • Optional: 5-inch embroidery hoop
  • Optional: needle threader


Blackwork floral repeat fades at the edges, with “Shabbat Shalom” in Hebrew left in relief. Stitch the background in 1 strand and the outline in 2 strands.

Design size: 235 x 285 stitches

  • 14 ct: 17 x 20″ | 43 x 52 cm
  • 16 ct: 15 x 18″ | 37 x 45 cm

Stitch over one on Aida cloth or over two on evenweave linen.
