Description
Copper smooth passing is a fine thread made from a wire-wrapped silk core. Perfect for filling in smooth areas of metalwork projects, typically added via couching.
Sold by the yard and in full spools of 10g or 25g.
Sizes are as follows:
- Size #7: 0.60–0.65mm in diameter
- Size #6: 0.55–0.60mm in diameter
- Size #5: 0.45–0.50mm in diameter
- Size #4: 0.40–0.45mm in diameter
Copper smooth passing thread is made from a thin copper wire coiled around a silk thread core. The total metal content of the wire is 100% copper.
It’s recommended to keep real metal threads out of humidity and direct sunlight and to make sure your hands are clean (with no lotion/cream) when touching/working with the thread.
