Made by Langlois Martin using unique French savoir faire since 1869, these sequins are simply the best in the business. Their durability, quality, and unrivaled color selection are what make these sequins the preferred material for tambour embroidery by the world’s major couture houses and academies.
Metallic Mat sequins are opaque with a hammered matte finish. They are available as flat paillettes or as cup cuvettes, in 3mm, 4mm, and 5mm diameters. See below for special orders of additional shapes, sizes, or colors.
Though most Langlois Martin sequins are made from cellulose acetate (a plant-based fiber containing no fossil fuels), the metallic series are made from PVC, due the prohibitive cost of metallizing cellulose. If you would prefer non-plastic metallic sequins, we recommend using real metal spangles, which come in gold and silver plate.
Sequins can be purchased in the following amounts:
- By the inch: 1 inch is approximately 100 sequins
- By the strand/worm: 1 strand/worm is approximately 1,000 sequins
- By the skein: 1 skein consists of 10 strands/worms, which is approximately 10,000 sequins

Special orders:
We accept special orders of colors, shapes and/or sizes not listed. Special orders consist of a minimum of 20 skeins (200,000 sequins) per item and take about 90 days to ship. 5,000 shapes, 1,500 colors, and 11 sizes available. Please contact us for pricing and more information.
Trade discounts:
