This is the supply bundle for Karen Barbé’s paper embroidery class. Instructions are provided only as part of the class and cannot be purchased here.

Contents:

  • Set of 9 postcards, printed on high-quality matte stock
  • 7 skeins of DMC floss: 166, 721, 761, 927, 959, 3607, 3608
  • Size 24 tapestry needle
  • Paper punching awl
  • Optional: felt sheet for easier hole punching
  • Optional: acid free glue or linen tape (1 yd.) for securing stitches on the back of the cards
  • Optional: needle threader
  • Optional: embroidery scissors

Description

Learn to embroider on paper with this set of postcards. We’ll embroider the letters for HEAL and SANAR (“heal“ in Spanish) and discover through stitching the healing energy of making things with your hands.

In addition to the materials in this bundle, you’ll need one or two pieces of corrugated cardboard to place underneath your postcards when punching holes with the awl.

If you would like to print and cut your own cards at home, you will have the best results with a 110 lb/200 gsm matte cover/card stock.
