100% natural, cosmetic-grade beeswax, made in Chicago by very pampered bees. Extra filtered to minimize discoloration from pollen.
Sold in hand-poured 0.3 oz. bon bons, this beeswax is soft in your hands, resists crumbling, and smells like fresh honey. It is ergonomically shaped with a thumb indentation and outer ridges to make it easier to pull threads through it.
Use beeswax to strengthen your threads, like when adding buttons or beads, or to protect them, like when couching metal threads in goldwork projects, or stitching through rough fabrics like canvas.
If using to “condition” threads for easier threading, please be aware that all beeswax will slightly darken thread colors.
