Description

This project shows off the beauty of blackwork in a simple contemporary design. The pattern is recommended for any stitcher, including beginners! Also available in a set of warm colors on black fabric.

The stitched area is 54× 54 stitches. Using the recommended 14 ct aida this gives a finished size of approximately 3.8×3.8 inches, fitting nicely in a 5 inch hoop, as shown above.

This stitch pattern uses a technique known as ‘blackwork’. Rather than building up a picture with cross stitch, this pattern uses straight lines of back stitch or running stitch to create an intricate pattern on gridded fabric.

Please note the pattern for this project is a digital PDF download – not a printed booklet.
