Description
This four-piece package of affordable sashiko needles is great for beginners. Of all the entry-level needles we tested, these are the sharpest and smoothest when used on the loosely woven cottons typically called for in sashiko embroidery. Looking for top-of-the-line sashiko needles? Those are here.
This package contains needles in four different sizes, to make stitching any pattern comfortable:
- 43mm/1.7 in., narrow and short, for using with finer weight sashiko threads and fabrics
- 48mm/1.9 in., for designs with curves or turns
- 54mm/2.1 in., a good, all-purpose length
- 65mm/2.6 in, for designs with straight lines
Sashiko needles have large eyes and wider shafts to help thicker threads move through the fabric.
