21-page packet of full-color instructions for SFSNAD’s Edward Burne-Jones Inspiration project.
The focus of this class will be on using applied fabrics to create a colored ground with a transferred design, and edge finishing the areas of appliques. Additional techniques will include split stitch shading for figures, flat silk application utilizing a laying tool, stitch-able gold threads, Japanese thread couching and plunging, and finally applying gilt spangles.
